The former Governor of Lagos State Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has asked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate (Mr. Jimi Agbaje) to defect to the winning party, All Progressive Congress (APC).

Mr. Tinubu said this while entertaining guests at his Ikoyi residence to celebrate another All Progressive Congress (APC) win for Ambode as Governor.

Patience Jonathan, Wike and Others make efforts to Rig Rivers Elections

The First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, Rivers State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate, Nyesome Wike, Deputy Governor Tele Ikuru, and Minister of Sports, Tammy Danagogo, have in the past 24 hours intensified efforts to rig the on-going governorship and State House of Assembly elections in favour of the PDP.

“Reports available to us confirm that Rivers PDP, the Police and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have not changed their tactics of rigging all elections in Rivers State. The strategy adopted to cart away INEC materials and writing results in favour of PDP in the presidential and National Assembly elections of March 28th are sadly being replicated in the gubernatorial and State Assembly election of today, April 11th,” Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Davies Ibiamu Ikanya, said in a statement issued this morning in Port Harcourt. President Jonathan Spoke to Journalist after His Accreditation

President Goodluck Jonathan ‎commended the Independence Electoral Commission (INEC) for improving on its preparedness at the gubernatorial and State houses of assembly elections, expressing confidence that his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), would have a good outing compared to the March 28^th Presidential Election.

President Jonathan who was accredited within 10 seconds ‎at Ward 13, Unit 39, Otuoke, Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa state, gave two (2) reasons for the low voter turnout for the election in Otuoke compared to the March 28^th polls, noting that the stake is usually higher for Presidential election and the fact that there was no governorship election in Bayelsa state at this time.

The Director-General (DG), National Youth Service Corps, Brig.-Gen. Johnson Olawunmi, on Thursday (09/04/2015) in Port Harcourt, called on Politicians and their supporters not to vent their frustration on Corps Members working as the Independent National Electoral Commission ad-hoc staff during today’s Governorship Election.

Brig.-Gen. Olawunmi made the call following the violence that trailed the March 28^th Presidential Election in Rivers State where Corps Members were allegedly harassed by hoodlums.

PDP Wants to impeach Aregbesola – APC

The Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state of plotting to rig during Saturday’s House of Assembly election.

Its Director of Publicity, Kunle Oyatomi, said in a statement on Friday that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was “violently mobilising to snatch victory in 16 of the 26 House of Assembly seats.”

Mr. Oyatomi said the move was part of the plot to put the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in a comfortable position “in the desperate bid to eventually impeach the governor.”

The Special Election Team of the Zone 6 Command of the Nigeria Police has arrested a man with 813 Permanent Voter Cards (PVC’S) in Ebonyi State.

The team was inaugurated by Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Tunde Ogunsakin. Head of the team DSP Obere Friday, on Thursday said the arrest took place on Monday at Izzi community area of the state.
